Professional Security Magazine - May 09 Article

Following the Global MSC Security Seminar in Reading on 4th March 2009, Professional Security Magazine published an article in the May 09 edition covering the presentation given by Robbie Holgate (Manager of the Hertfordshire CCTV Partnership) on the use of CCTV throughout the Stevenage and North Hertfordshire area.

Also covered in the article was the presentation given by CCTV Manager Ray Stead of Portsmouth City Council covering his observations on the development of CCTV throughout his 19 year long career.

Global MSC Security Working with Your Homes Newcastle

Global MSC Security has been awarded a contract to carry out a feasibility study of the existing security systems for the Concierge Service used by the social housing organisation, Your Homes Newcastle (YHN).

This service covers 40 sites made up of 56 blocks and approximately 5,900 properties.

Part of this process is to assess the current security provision and to develop a service specification as well as a design and build specification for a dedicated control room.

Consideration will also be given to opportunities for income generation and the introduction of additional value added services to the residents and the YHN client.

“Risk & Reward - Getting the Balance Right by Driving Efficiency”

In the current financial crisis, it is essential organisations, including local authorities, are well prepared to meet the challenges ahead to save capital and revenue costs at every opportunity. The Government will be looking at recovering lost treasury savings; now is the time to prepare for these inevitable budgetary cuts to ensure we are not caught out.

Throughout the day there will be presentations from speakers who will deal with the issues CCTV and Security Managers face in the current financial crisis and explore how to invest money wisely on cost effective solutions and make the most of your resources.

Southeastern Covert Foot Surveillance Training Success

Global MSC Security has just carried out a five day training course for rail organisation Southeastern to provide operatives with the skills to carry out effective covert foot surveillance. At the end of the course the attendees were awarded with a BTEC Level 3 qualification.

The course was extrememly well received and some of the comments from attendees are below:
