Effective Use of CCTV Resources at Bristol City Council
Friday, May 15th, 2009
CCTV Image (the official magazine of the CCTV User Group) has published an article in their May 2009 edition on the effective way Bristol City Council deploys its CCTV cameras to tackle both public space surveillance and traffic management at the same time from one control room.
Gordon McLanaghan (Emergency Control Centre Manager for Bristol City Council) talks about the challenges faced and how pooling the Council’s financial resources with Bristol’s Urban Traffic Control (UTC) resulted in a solution which enabled each of the organisations to access each other’s camera networks.
