CCTV/VSS Systems - Enhancing Monitoring and Surveillance
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) and video surveillance (VSS) systems are essential to modern security infrastructure. They provide continuous monitoring and surveillance, enabling organisations to deter potential threats, detect security incidents, and gather valuable evidence. At Global MSC, we specialise in designing, procuring, project managing and commissioning CCTV systems tailored to meet the unique security needs of our clients. From CCTV installation to security system monitoring, the security cameras and access control systems that we provide to business premises are
Comprehensive CCTV System and VSS Solutions
We understand that each organisation has specific surveillance requirements. Our team of experts and CCTV installers works closely with you to assess your town/city /park/shopping centre /premises, identify critical areas for surveillance and develop comprehensive CCTV solutions based on the Operational Requirements and Data Protection Impact Assessments. We consider factors such as the potential blindspots, foliage, crime hotspots, antisocial behaviour, licensed premises, lighting conditions, potential weather conditions, field of view, distance to targets, transmission fibre optic cabling/wireless (revenue free?), power supply, images per second, retention and storage of data and areas of vulnerability to design a system and install CCTV systems that maximises coverage and enhances your security capabilities.
Cameras are strategically sited to ensure comprehensive coverage of the area of risk; we consider the nature of the area to be protected, ‘pinch-points’ and other critical factors that identify what we require monitoring within that area of surveillance. By strategically positioning cameras, we maximise surveillance while minimising blind spots, ensuring that your CCTV system effectively captures relevant activities and incidents both live and historically.Integration with Other CCTV Cameras and Security Systems
To provide a unified security approach, our CCTV systems and CCTV installation services can seamlessly integrate with other security systems, such as access control, intruder alarms, visitor identification and intercom systems. This integration allows for a holistic and coordinated response to potential security incident and people and site management.

Cutting-Edge CCTV and VSS Technologies
At MSC, we stay at the forefront of CCTV technologies to provide our clients with the most advanced and effective solutions. We propose, subject to the OR/DPIA a wide range of cutting-edge technologies and features, including:
High Definition Multi-directional plus PTZ camera has five sensors in one camera – Monitor a 360° wide area simultaneously with multi-directional camera while the PTZ camera zooms into the desired area for closer inspection. (When the multi-directional camera detects an event, it can automatically link to the PTZ camera which carries out zoom-in and track functions).
We make use of intelligent tracking, artificial intelligence and analytics (where appropriate) with Wide Dynamic Range to view dark or backlit (silhouetted) areas with high levels of encryption and cyber security (NDAA compliant) – The American National Defence Authorisation Act.
Video Analytics
Video analytics software adds intelligence to your CCTV and VSS system, providing automated monitoring and analysis of video footage. It enables motion detection, object tracking, people counting, and facial recognition. Video analytics help identify suspicious activities, generate real-time alerts, and streamline the monitoring process by reducing the reliance on manual monitoring.
Remote Monitoring and Mobile Access
Our CCTV systems we design can be integrated with remote monitoring capabilities, allowing clients to access live video feeds and recordings from anywhere via secure connections. With mobile access, it is possible to monitor your CCTV system remotely, review footage, and receive alerts on your smartphone or tablet, providing you with real-time visibility and peace of mind, even when you’re away from the physical location.
Evidence Sharing
With the advent of Internet Protocol surveillance systems, copying and managing DVD’s/data sticks should be a thing of the past. It is now possible with a suitable Video Management System (VMS) to manage digital evidence that helps you organise evidence and case files. It reduces reliance on having to copy information to DVD’s/USB’s and shared drives which can leave system manages vulnerable to Data Protection breaches. A VMS lets you securely share evidence with the click of a button ensuring information is only shared with authorised individuals in and outside your organisation.
Storage and Retention Solutions
MSC ensures it takes into account suitable retention and storage periods as determined by the Operational Requirement or government advices for CCTV data. We work with you to determine the OR to achieve the appropriate storage capacity based on your requirements and compliance obligations. This can include on-site or cloud-based storage options, ensuring that your data is securely stored and easily retrievable when needed for investigations or evidence and in compliance with relevant legislation.
Ethical Training in the use of CCTV
We offer bespoke operator training in the Ethical use of PSS CCTV and for operatives who need to be aware of their responsibilities with Body Worn Video (BWV).
BWV – Course description:
With the huge and increasing interest in different surveillance technologies, this essential one-day course is for all individuals involved in managing and using Body Worn Video equipment. Because BWV systems are likely to be more intrusive than ‘normal’ CCTV surveillance, the importance of creating clear policy, operational guidelines and training users is universally recognised. Understanding governance requirements and operational guidelines will ensure the benefits and capabilities of body worn video are maximised for full effectiveness as an incident management and crime-fighting tool.
Course Aims:
To provide an understanding of the technology, UK standards, legislation & operational guidelines applicable to Body Worn Video to ensure its use is lawful and the benefits are maximised.
CCTV Legislation
As legislation catches up with the development of security technology, revised Data Protection, Protection of Freedoms, Regulation of Investigatory Powers, Human Rights Acts with responsibilities to comply with The CCTV Code of Practice published by the Information Commissioner’s Office and the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice issued by the Surveillance Camera Commissioner June 2013 needs to be considered by “Relevant Authorities” which include local government.
Carrying out Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) and Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) are part of the process we adopt, linked with the OR to satisfy the ‘Pressing Need’ and justification for cameras to be installed with public support.
Tangible Cost Savings
A security consultancy should be able to provide a quality service, one which achieves tangible, real savings for clients. Immediate savings many times greater than the cost of our fees is a regular feature of our work.
We ensure the design and application of the use of products is not paramount to the detriment of dealing solely with the prevention of crime; other important considerations including cost and harmony with the aesthetic surroundings or profitable business operations should not be ignored.
Gathering of Evidence
In the event of a security incident or criminal activity, CCTV footage serves as invaluable evidence for investigations and legal proceedings. High-definition cameras capture clear and detailed images, facilitating the identification of individuals involved. CCTV footage can be crucial in resolving disputes, supporting insurance claims, and aiding law enforcement agencies in their investigations.
Employee Safety and Productivity
CCTV systems contribute to employee safety by providing a secure working environment. Employees feel reassured knowing their workplace is under surveillance, deterring potential threats and fostering a sense of security. Additionally, CCTV monitoring can help identify safety hazards or compliance issues, ensuring a safer and more compliant work environment. CCTV systems can also aid in assessing productivity and adherence to operational procedures, providing insights to optimise workflow and identify areas for improvement.
Compliance with Regulations
In many industries, compliance with regulatory requirements is crucial. CCTV systems can assist in meeting these obligations by providing documented evidence of security measures in place, adherence to industry-specific regulations, and supporting compliance audits. By implementing a robust CCTV system, you can demonstrate your commitment to maintaining security standards and fulfil your legal and regulatory obligations.
Remote Monitoring and Management
With remote monitoring capabilities, CCTV systems offer the convenience of monitoring your premises from anywhere at any time. Whether on-site or away, you can access live video feeds, review recordings, and receive real-time alerts on your mobile device or through a secure web portal. Remote monitoring lets you stay connected and maintain situational awareness, enhancing your ability to respond quickly to security incidents or operational issues.
