This £2.3 million new installation project for Barnet Council was won by the company DSSL led by Aaron Stephens using Genetec VMS, Bosch and Hanwha Techwin cameras. The system is capable of analytics, artificial intelligence and has fibre optic transmission provided by BT to each camera location with a view to maximising the facility for other uses such as vehicle counting, clean air monitoring and with the ability to create reliable communications hubs for local users and residents.
The camera count has increase significantly with the use of the ‘Bob’ Hanwha Techwin camera at crucial, busy locations where ordinarily, a PTZ camera would be facing the wrong way to capture the 360-degree view. With four fixed and one PTZ housed in each ‘Bob’ unit, very little goes undetected and the use of data analysis is being considered to enhance the effectiveness using the static cameras.
